My journey began in Wylie, TX, in 1994. Growing up was a unique experience for me due to having a big family that was around ALL THE TIME. This was a great thing though, ups & downs included. Every weekend, my family was at our house, including grandparents, aunts & uncles, and cousins. Not only were they always around, but they brought their animals along as well! I’m talking about dogs, cats, birds, raccoons, rats, squirrels, etc. If you can’t already tell, my family & I are animal people. Not only are we animal people, but everyone loves kids as well, which definitely played a huge part in my love for children.
Due to the family I was blessed with allowed me to see the true value in community & receiving help from others. Hunting, fishing, swimming, animal care, and independent skills like cooking are just a few of many things my family taught me the value of. While I am no hunter or fisherman, the lessons I learned from these activities have stayed with me for my entire life.
All of this comes together to create the person I am today. Someone who values family, community, education, hard work, and empathy for every human, animal, & creature on this beautiful planet.
